Betting Tools

Welcome to our little guide of betting tools. What they are and how they can be quite useful for your football betting is something we will explain right here.

What are Betting Tools?

Well, they are just that, tools to help you with placing bets. They come in various shapes and colours. In a manner of speaking.

Many betting sites, whether they are focussing on football betting or other sports, will offer at least an odds calculator and an accumulator calculator. But there are also tools such as bet builders, betting exchange tools or various converters for money lines or handicaps.

These tools allow you to enter your stake for instance, and then calculate your possible returns. Or you can simulate a particular bet and see how things might turn out for you.

Betting tools allow you to make a sort of forecast without yet staking any real money. They are there to help you make smarter and hopefully more profitable decisions.

They will not ensure that your bet will be successful, however. Even betting tools can’t predict the future.

Which Betting Tools are there?

We’ve already mentioned a few betting tools, but let’s take a closer look at them.

  • Bet Builder – Helps you build the bet based on various odds
  • Accumulation Calculator – Calculates the returns for every leg of your accumulator bet based on your stake
  • Odds Calculator – Calculates the potential winnings (using at least fractions and decimal odds) based on your stake
  • Odds Converter – Converts any odds format to help with bets

These are the most tools you will find, and most betting sites will have at least two or three of them. Of course, many other sites about sports betting will also provide these tools and more besides.

You may find something like an Outright Calculator, where you can enter participants of a race into the various places and receive calculations on placements.

We’ve come across a Betting Exchange Tool as well, which is handy to have if you want to lay or back odds at a betting exchange such as Betfair.

How do Betting Tools work?

Most betting tools are calculators or converters of some kind. You simply enter the numbers, odds or your bet stake (depending on the tool) and the tool automatically gives you the results you need.

Most betting tools are some form of table, which come in simple formats. You can enter all the information that is required easily and sometimes you may not even need to hit a button to get a result.

Remember that betting tools are not predictors. They only work with the numbers you give them and the data that is available. They cannot guarantee a successful bet.

They are as much of a tool as our betting tips and predictions. Both are there to help you place better and potentially more profitable bets. But neither can guarantee a win.

Which Betting Site has the best Betting Tools?

Not all betting sites have betting tools. Those that do, are often quite similar. You’ll be able to find odds calculators and accumulator calculators most commonly. Beyond that, bet builders can be quite handy to have. Betting sites that have betting tools include:

  • Betway
  • Unibet
  • Betfred
  • BetVictor
  • 888sport
  • William Hill
  • Coral

Be sure to read our thorough reviews to find out which of these sites might be best suited to your needs.

We also have further articles about accumulator and odds calculators for you. As already mentioned, these are the most frequently used tools for betting, so we want to provide them as well.
