So, why don’t we give them a better rating here? For starters, whilst there is a “Contact Us” link, it won’t lead you directly to a place where you can contact the customer service team. You need to make further selections before you can then complete a web form to send an enquiry, for instance.

There’s also no live chat link on the homepage (at least, whilst you are not logged in), which is unhelpful. And then we have to bemoan the fact that you can only contact the customer service team via phone between 10am and 6pm GMT. That’s useless for many overseas customers.

So, whilst the customer service team is great, actually getting in touch with them is not.

Software – 3.5/5

The 888sport homepage looks good in a sleek black with orange highlights. The user interface is modern, easy to use and intuitively navigated.

Most selections can be made in no more than two clicks, though we have previously noted that sometimes more clicks are required to get where you want to be. That’s a bit annoying sometimes but doesn’t detract too much from the use of the features.

Loading can sometimes take a moment, depending on what you are searching for. When a long list needs to be populated with information, it’s not surprising that there is a little lag whilst an orange football is spinning around.

Of course, the site is fully accessible via mobile as well, which we found even easier to use than the desktop page. The layout is slimmed down and whilst the functionality doesn’t suffer at all, navigation is even more intuitive.
