Nevertheless, it managed to earn it’s 4th consecutive entry to the group stages. The Blues were however unable to defend their title and crashed out of the quarterfinals in the last edition. However, the recent signings in the transfer season, including Wesley Fofana, Raheem Sterling, and Kalidou Koulibaly are likely to play an important role as Thomas Tuchel looks to mount another attack toward the summit.
