Capital club AS Roma will travel to Turin this Saturday, as it searches for it’s third consecutive victory in the ongoing season of the Italian Serie A.
Juventus was clearly rattled by the departure of it’s most prized asset, Cristiano Ronaldo at the start of the last season. However, they did manage to pull things back towards the end, finishing within the top 4. The start to the current season has been much better, as Juventus is unbeaten after it's first two matches, and go into this match on the back of a goalless draw with Sampdoria, played last weekend. Coach Massimiliano Allegri will want his team to be strong contenders for the championship this season, which they haven’t been in the last 2 seasons.
As Roma started it’s fresh season with a 1-0 win over Salernitana, and hosted a freshly promoted Cremonese for it’s second match last weekend. Chris Smalling scored the only goal of the match, handing Roma it’s second consecutive win, and a third spot on the points table. Playing his second full season as the head coach of Roma, Jose Mourinho will like to finish better than the 6th spot that he could manage in the last season. With relatively easy fixtures against Monza and Udinese coming up, Roma would want to collect as many points as it can during these early stages of the season.
Match prediction and football betting tips for Juventus Turin vs AS Roma Serie A 2022-23. The match is going to be played at the Juventus Stadium, Turin, on 27th August 2022.
Both the teams will have to deal with a long list of injured players during this encounter. The home team is likely to be without the services of Marley Ake, Paul Pogba, Federico Chiesa, Kaio Jorge, Angel Di Maria and Wojciech Szczesny.
On the other hand, Roma are likely to travel to Turin without Ebrima Darboe, Georginio Wijnaldum and Nicolo Zaniolo.
Given the on paper strengths and weaknesses, as well as the current form, there is little separating both the teams as of now.
Bet on a draw.
As mentioned earlier, both the teams haven’t conceded a single goal during their first two matches. Roma has scored just 2 goals in as many games, while Juventus has managed 3. With the defences of both the clubs doing well, we are likely to see a low scoring match.
Vlahovic was the second highest scorer in the last season with 24 goals. Playing his first full season at Juventus, he has already scored brace in the match against Sassuolo. We are backing him to score again in this game.
