Juventus will be traveling to Milan over the weekend, to play one of the most important games in the ongoing Serie A season, against AC Milan.
AC Milan had a horrible outing in the last game, as it was denied a certain victory against the minnows Spezia. Rather than allowing an advantage when Junior Messias scored in stoppage time, referee Marco Serra blew the foul whistle two seconds before the ball netted, for Ante Rebic's tackle just outside the box, and the finish was not allowed to stand. Rubbing salt to the wound, Emmanuel Gyasi scored a winning goal in the 96th minute, and Spezia collected 3 important points for themselves. This loss dealt a blow to AC Milan’s dreams of snatching the top spot from rivals Inter Milan. AC Milan currently trails Inter by two points and has played one game extra.
After making a slow start to the season, Juventus has slowly made its way up the points table. The Bianconeri are currently on the 5th spot with 41 points, and just 1 point behind Atalanta. A win in this game will help Juventus break into the top 4, and keep its dream of making it into the Champions League alive. The team has had a solid start to the new year, winning two of the three league games, and will look to build upon that form in this game too.
The football betting sites expect this to be a close game as well. They are offering nearly identical odds for both teams before the start of the match.
Match prediction and betting tips for Juventus Turin vs AC Milan Serie A 2021-22. The match is going to be played at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Milan, on the 23rd of January 2022.
Both the teams have a fair share of injuries, and won’t be able to field a few players for this game. Juventus will be missing Leonardo Bonucci and Fredrico Chiesa due to injuries, while Aaron Ramsey has tested positive for the coronavirus. As for AC Milan, Simon Kjaer, Fikayo Tomori and Pellegri are doubtful for this fixture. Sandro Tonali has served his suspension and will be back in action. The Rossoneri are sorely missing players like Kessie, Ballo-Tore, and Bennacer, who are on international duty.
This game promises to be a great watch, as both the teams are equally matched, and will be looking to score aggressively. However, we feel that the visitors might have a slight edge, and finish ahead of the hosts.
Bet on a Juventus win.
Both teams have been in great goal-scoring form this season. They are also actively looking for a win in this match and so have no option but to attack. Three out of their previous four matches have seen over 2.5 goals being scored and we think betting on the same happening this time as well is the way to go.
