RB Leipzig will be hoping to register its first win of the Bundesliga season 2022-23, as it visits the capital city of Berlin this Saturday, to face Union Berlin.
Union Berlin, playing its fourth ever season in the top flight, has shown remarkable growth over the past 3 seasons. Urs Fischer's side began their latest campaign on a positive note, beating fellow Berliners Hertha by 3-1. However, Leipzig is winless after playing its two opening matches and is currently 11th on the points table with just 2 points.
After drawing the first match against Stuttgart, Leipzig was once again forced to drop points against Cologne last weekend. With the score level at halftime, Nkunku scored a superb goal in the 56th minute to give the hosts an advantage. However, a clumsy own goal by Josko Gvardiol later in the second half ensured that Leipzig settled for a second consecutive draw.
